tipping is a way thank people for providing a service for us, the average tip or gratuity, is between 15% and 20% before taxs. however if you feel you recived exceptional service tip away!
Fine dining restaurant:
Coat check - 2.00-3.00
restrooms 1.00-2.00
musician - 1.00-5.00
valet parking 2.00-5.00
host does not require tip unless you frequent it often.
Buffets and cafeterias:
No tip required only tip for service person who brings you a beverage between 10% -15% and left on the table
Beauty Salons:
Hairdresser or barber - 15%-20%
manicurists -$2.00
Shampooist - $2.00
At a club or bar:
Tip the bartender between 10% and 15% depending on the complication of your drink order.
Transportation:
Cab or a limousine 10% to 15% of the fare.
Valet service a guideline is simply offering the attendant a 2.00-5.00 for the parking and retrieval of your car.
Skycaps offer a dollar per bag and up that amount if the bags are particularly heavy or large.
At a Hotel:
It is standard to leave the maid 2.00-5.00 for tidying your room. If you have additional needs such as more towels, soap, an extra toothbrush, etc. thank the maid with an additional dollar or two.
Bellhop a gratuity of a dollar per bag, unless, once again, you have particularly large or heavy bags
