Laughter and Tears

The holiday season has emerged and it seems to have come upon many of us like bolt of lightning, It was on my "holiday season" heart to share...

Personally I am not sure how I feel about this holiday season with emotions of sadness but it has made me think about "balance."

It seems as the years pass I become more aware of others and their emotional state or needs, may it be due to finances, a loss, joy and giving. Which brought the question to mind, when one experiences a loss does another joy help keep the balance?

The Christmas season is about joy, togetherness, laughter and celebrating in giving and LOVE, does this awareness help to keep balance in the world, and with many in joy, eating, shopping, celebrating love does this balance those experiencing sadness with loss of a loved one, pet, loneliness, lack of food or even a relationship.

When one's many tears and heart ache keeps them in sadness does the one with laughter, joy and love help them move forward with keeping balance especially during the holiday season, allowing the Universe, Spirit or GOD help shift every human being for the January New Year asisting to not carry our sadness forward which might limit us.

If this is true, then for those who are crying, when I laugh I will laugh harder, for those of you that are lonely, I will love more in all I do, for those of you who are in lack I will give with non-judgment and compassion and those who have lost and lonely, know you are not alone and I hold your hand in spirit with faith it sparks hope in the new birth of you, and when I hear anothers laughter I will give thanks for the balance preparing all for the New Year and the joy it brings the world.

Halloween Party Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner...I know, we can't believe it either! In honor of this fun holiday here's some last minute party ideas:

-Try hanging some ripped netting and some hanging bats above the snack table to  make things extra spooky

-Wrap juice boxes in white masking tape with some glued-on goggly eyes to look  like little mummies

-Slice some apples to represent the lips and some almonds to represent the teeth   of some scary vampire mouths

-Hang some orange balloons and a green construction paper stem to make a  pumpkin decoration to make a statement

Excentric Mimi Weddell (you may remember her as Mrs. Blatch, Stanford’s WASP-y grandmother from “Sex and the City”). Mimi, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 94, was an eclectic fixture in New York widely known for her love of hats. Reflection Agency enjoys peeking to see how ones lifestyle inspires them. These images of Mimi Weddell Manhattan apartment were published in the October 2005 issue of Vogue Casa. If you ask us, the Tim Walker-shot editorial is absolutely scrumptious.

What Goes Around, Comes Around

Its true that fashion trends have a cycle. Its always interesting to see what pieces come back in style again and again. The pointed-toe heel is one of those trends. The rounded-toe has stolen the spotlight the past couple of fashion seasons, but as spring slowly wakes from its winter's hibernation the pointed-toe plans to makes its appearance once again! And we here at Reflection Agency are glad to see this heel make its comeback!

Reflection Agency favorite, Alexander Wang, has a way with juxtaposition. He really plays with opposing styles in his latest collection, playing with compostion, texture, color, and proportion. In the first look he managed to interweave a silk and a sweater knit - a difficult feat to accomplish (but if anyone could do it, it would be Alexander Wang).
